Whom do you say that I am?

(Note:- The issue of Yahshua's divinity and pre-existence was something people struggled with, even then, in His presence. They found it difficult to understand and believe, that He came from Yahweh His Father, and existed before. He was constantly asking them who they thought He was and where they thought He had come from. Also, who others thought Him to be. This was a most important issue.


John 6:62 ‘…ascend up to where He was before’. Strongs 4386 = before = previously.
John 13:3 ‘Come from God’. Strongs 1831. Come = issue, proceed.
John 16:27-28 ‘Father loves you because you believe I came out from God’. Strongs 1831came = issue, proceed .
John 17:5 ‘with the glorywhich I had with you before the world was’. Strongs 1391. Glory = honour, praise, worship. Before = prior, fore, front of (Strongs 4253.)

If we have a problem with John…
Col 1:15-17 ‘He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: for by him were all thing created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities of powers: all things were created by him, and for him: and he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

John 8:58 Before Abraham was, I am.
Proverbs 8:22-31 ‘Yahweh possessed me…I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was, when no depths, I was brought forth…before the mountains were…I was brought forth…when he prepared the heavens, I was there…as one brought up with him: and I was daily His delight, rejoicing…and my delights with the sons of men…’
Gen.1:26 And Elohim said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness (singular, one image) So Elohim created man in His image, in…
John 17:8 ‘…and have known surely that I came out from Thee…’
Also, in many other verses, 21, 23, 24, 25 ‘…and that the world may know that you have sent me…for thou lovedst (past tense) me before the foundation of the world…and these have known that you have sent me…’
Matthew 1:23 ‘…shall call His name Emmanuel, …God (Elohim) with us… When Yahshua discoursed with satan, and he tried to get him to cast himself down. Yahshua replied, ‘thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God’ and later, ‘Thou shalt worship the Lord, thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve’
He may have been meaning, himself!

We could go on, and on…
But do search for yourself, the Bible is full of Yahshua’s pre-existence and His Divinity, full of truth about Him being part of the ‘three or more’ of Elohim.

Heb. 1:2, 3, 5 and 6: ‘…spoken to us by His Son…by whom also he made the worlds; who being the brightness of glory, and the expressimage of his person…for unto which of the angels said he at any time, ‘…thou art my son this day have I begotten thee? …and again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten ( firstbegotten = produce from seed, bring forth as a mother, be delivered)into the world, he saith, and let all the angels of God worship him’

I also love the verse in Luke 13:34 when Yahshua was speaking in past tense ‘O Jerusalem, Jerusalem which killed the prophets…how often would I have gathered thy children together as a hen her brood under wings, and ye would not!...’ As a man, this would have been an impossibility.
